We're looking for an energetic, compassionate communicator who enjoys connecting with people, building relationships, and educating our community. This is more than an outreach position—it's an opportunity to become one of the faces and voices of Hospice Maui. What You'll Do As our Community Educator & Outreach Specialist, you will: Build relationships with healthcare partners, churches, civic organizations, businesses, schools, and community leaders throughout Maui County. Represent Hospice Maui at health fairs, community events, and educational programs. Deliver engaging presentations about hospice, palliative care, advance care planning, and Hospice Maui services. Travel throughout Maui, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, Hāna, and West Maui to strengthen community partnerships. Coordinate outreach activities and maintain community relationship tracking. Collaborate with our Advancement Team to support fundraising and community engagement initiatives. Help maintain Hospice Maui's website with current information and events. Assist with social media planning, photography, video coordination, and content development. Support community events and volunteer engagement. Prepare outreach materials, brochures, presentations, newsletters, and marketing collateral. Assist with donor database updates and administrative support. What We're Looking For Required Associate's degree Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Comfortable speaking with individuals and groups Valid Hawaiʻi driver's license Ability to travel throughout Maui County, including occasional inter-island travel Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and general computer applications Preferred Bachelor's degree Experience in nonprofit organizations Community outreach or business development experience Public speaking or educational presentation experience Healthcare, hospice, palliative care, or senior services experience Website and social media experience Event planning experience Knowledge of Maui County communities and organizations Why You'll Love Working at Hospice Maui Our employees are the heart of everything we do.
