Full Job Description Purpose:
The Community Engagement Coordinator is an organized, relationship-driven professional responsible for leading community outreach, engagement initiatives, and events that promote health, well-being, and awareness of EveryStep's services. This role builds strong partnerships, connects community needs to services, and expands the organization's presence and impact across the communities EveryStep serves.
Responsibilities:
Develops and implements a strategic community engagement plan to increase awareness of EveryStep's services, programs, and community health impact. Builds and maintains strong relationships with community organizations, healthcare partners, schools, businesses, and civic groups. Leads and coordinates Community Health's strategy for community events and outreach activities. Organizes internal teams' community event representation or represents EveryStep at events. Leads the planning and execution of community-focused events, health education forums, and organization-wide gatherings. Coordinates logistics, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful and impactful events. Assists with organization-wide events such as staff engagement activities and community awareness initiatives as needed. Evaluates event outcomes to measure participation, community impact, and alignment with strategic goals. Maintains strong internal relationships with program teams to understand the full scope of services and ensure accurate, consistent community messaging. Collaborates with clinical and program staff to align outreach efforts with priority populations and service delivery goals. Partners with marketing and communications to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all engagement activities. Tracks and maintains records of community engagement activities, partnerships, and event participation. Evaluates effectiveness of outreach strategies using data and community feedback. Supports special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (public health, health administration, communications, or related field) preferred or equivalent work experience 1-3 years of experience in community engagement, public health, outreach, event planning, or project management Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills Experience working with diverse populations, community partners, and volunteers Knowledge of community health principles preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends Travel between service locations and community events required Valid driver's license, auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation if required Successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen, 2-step TB test and background check
Working Conditions:

Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential
Time:
Ability to be flexible with a varying schedule and programmatic requirements; Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends
