Job Description

Accepting applications for: Community Outreach Specialist Senior Center Division Application deadline: Thursday, July 16, 2026 Visit www.icgov.org/jobs to apply online Permanent full-time position available Salary range: $70,720.00•$89,689.60 (starting wage contingent upon experience)
Hours:
Monday•Friday, 8:00am•5:00pm
Job Summary:
Under minimal direction, recruits, trains, schedules, and monitors the work activities of people participating in volunteer programs sponsored by the Senior Center. Develops, implements, and maintains the Senior Center's community outreach activities. Evaluates volunteer and community outreach programming to ensure that it reflects and successfully meets the changing needs and interests of community members 50+ years of age.
Minimum Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure, Other:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution and two years of related experience; or six years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, or related. Experience in working with adults 50+, volunteer management, or marketing. Must pass criminal background check.
Preferred Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure, Other:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution and three to five years of related experience; or seven years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Aging Studies or Gerontology. Experience in community outreach. Certification in CPR and the use of an external automated defibrillator.
