Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and community-minded individual to join our team as the ROSS Coordinator. In this role, your core responsibilities are 1. Community Needs Assessment 2. Case Management and Coaching 3. Coordination and Direct Service Delivery 4. Resident Empowerment 5. Strategic Partnership Engagement and 6. Reporting and Evaluation. The purpose of the ROSS program is to match housing assistance families/individuals with existing community services to greater health, financial well-being, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to engage and mobilize community members in HACP's mission and activities.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate community events, workshops, and meetings to promote awareness of housing issues and foster dialogue and collaboration.
- Serve as a liaison between HACP and external stakeholders, including residents, neighborhood associations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and business partners.
- Conduct outreach efforts to underserved and marginalized communities to ensure their voices and needs are represented and addressed.
- Collect and analyze data on community needs, trends, and priorities to inform HACP's programs and advocacy efforts.
- Collaborate with HACP staff and volunteers to develop and implement community-driven solutions to housing challenges.
- Assist in the development and dissemination of educational materials and resources related to housing rights, financial literacy, and community development.
Qualifications:
- At Least a Bachelor's in social work, community development, public administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in community organizing, outreach, or related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusivity.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including low-income individuals, immigrants, and people experiencing homelessness.
- Knowledge of local agencies, programs, and institutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
