The Glen Retirement System is seeking a Community Life Coordinator to help create moments of joy, purpose, and connection for the residents we serve. Full-Time | Non-Exempt | Benefits Eligible Schedule Normally 40 hours per week Standard shift: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Some evenings, weekends, and holidays required Schedule may vary based on community needs What You'll Do As a Community Life Coordinator, you will assist with implementing engaging programs and activities that support the social, spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual, and vocational well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate scheduled group and individual activities Support community events, outings, and special service projects Encourage resident participation and build meaningful relationships Assist with hosting entertainment and special guests Decorate and maintain inviting activity spaces Distribute calendars and maintain attendance records Assist with volunteer coordination and event documentation Help transport residents to appointments and outings as needed This is a hands-on, high-energy role perfect for someone who enjoys staying active and interacting throughout the day. What We're Looking For High school diploma required Experience working with seniors preferred Compassionate, enthusiastic, and flexible personality Professional appearance and positive attitude Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Basic computer skills Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a Chauffeur's License Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 90 pounds Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods Comfortable working in a high-energy, high-traffic environment
