Position Summary The Vietnamese-Speaking Community Coordinator will serve as a liaison between United At Home and the Vietnamese community. This role focuses on building relationships, increasing awareness of services available to seniors and caregivers, and helping families navigate healthcare, Medicaid, and community resources. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving others, enjoys connecting with people, and understands the cultural values and needs of Vietnamese families. Key Responsibilities Conduct outreach and build relationships within the Vietnamese community, including local organizations, temples, churches, businesses, and community groups. Educate seniors and family caregivers about available services and resources. Assist families in navigating Medicaid, long-term care programs, and social services. Attend community events, health fairs, and cultural celebrations to represent United At Home. Translate and interpret information between English and Vietnamese as needed. Develop and distribute culturally appropriate educational materials and outreach initiatives. Maintain relationships with community partners and referral sources. Document outreach activities and track community engagement efforts. Collaborate with internal team members to identify and address the needs of Vietnamese seniors and caregivers. QualificationsRequired Fluency in both Vietnamese and English (speaking, reading, and writing). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the St. Louis area. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications. Preferred Experience in community outreach, social services, healthcare, public benefits, or nonprofit organizations. Knowledge of Medicaid, aging services, and community resources. Existing relationships within the Vietnamese community in the St. Louis area. Experience with public speaking, event coordination, or community education.
