Administration Program Description:
Moore Community House has been committed to serving families along the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1924. Our programs include providing early childhood education for children ages Infant-4 years old and offering workforce development training for women seeking careers in the construction and advanced manufacturing fields.
Position Summary:
The Resource Development and Event Coordinator plays a key role in advancing the mission of Moore Community House by leading fundraising, donor engagement, grant support, and community event planning. This position will coordinate efforts to increase organizational visibility, foster community partnerships, and generate financial resources through events, campaigns, and donor outreach.
Responsibilities:
Resource Development & Fundraising
  • Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan, including donor appeals, sponsorship outreach, and online giving strategies.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding partners.
  • Maintain donor database and ensure timely acknowledgments and tracking of contributions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to research and support grant writing and reporting needs.
  • Assist with the preparation of fundraising reports, presentations, and impact summaries.
Event Planning & Community Engagement Plan, coordinate, and execute mission-aligned events, including fundraisers, community gatherings, awareness events, and celebrations. Work with staff and volunteers to manage event logistics including venues, vendors, permits, promotions, and day-of coordination. Ensure consistent branding and messaging in event materials, invitations, and communications. Engage local businesses and community partners for sponsorships and in-kind donations. Represent Moore Community House at community events and partnership meetings as needed. Collaborate with the Program and Marketing Coordinator to develop event-related content for social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, event planning, or donor relations.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with donor databases and social media platforms preferred.
  • Passion for the mission of Moore Community House and commitment to equity, community, and service.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must successfully complete an FBI Criminal Background Check
  • In compliance with federal
COVID-19
vaccination requirements, Moore Community House employees will be required to be fully vaccinated for
COVID-19.
