Full Job Description Position:

Part-Time Community Ambassador Reports to: Manager, Community Relations About The Cosmos The Cosmos is a dynamic and innovative sports organization committed to building world-class soccer teams and growing a European style sports and culture club. We are excited to announce the launch of our men's team in USL League One in 2026 and our women's team in 2028 (league to be determined). Position Summary The Cosmos are looking for energetic, outgoing, and community- minded individuals to join our Community Ambassador Team. Ambassadors will represent the Cosmos at community events, festivals, soccer matches, and school or nonprofit visits — helping us connect with fans, grow our presence, and share the excitement for our upcoming seasons. If you love sports, enjoy talking to people, and take pride in being part of your community, this is the role for you. Key Responsibilities Represent the Cosmos at community events, soccer games, and public appearances Assist with setup, breakdown, and operations at outreach events and match days Engage with fans, answer questions, and share information about the team. Distribute promotional materials and giveaways. Encourage sign-ups for mailing lists, memberships, and community programs Support soccer clinics, fan activities, and interactive games for kids Serve as a positive and welcoming face of the Cosmos in the community. Qualifications Bilingual (Spanish/Arabic strongly preferred; other languages welcomed) Strong ties to, the local Paterson/North Jersey community. Outgoing, approachable, and comfortable speaking to people of all ages. Passionate about soccer, and community engagement. Able to work in a fast-paced, outdoor event environment. Reliable, punctual, and a team player Available evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods and brave the weather elements Ability to lift up to 25lbs. (boxes, tents, tables, etc.)

Hourly Rate:

$17.00

Time Commitment:

10-16 per week

Schedule:
