Job Description

Position Description- Temporary Full Time The Behavioral Health GHWIC Community Worker is responsible for assisting the GHWIC Program Manager in executing chronic disease prevention programming to Pueblo of Pojoaque Tribal Members and the surrounding community. The Community Worker will market and promote programming in the community. This role involves supporting the GHWIC Program manager in coordinating Subject Matter Experts (SME) in the delivery of their expertise to the community. The Community Worker plays a crucial role in helping fulfill the collaborative agreement, GHWIC. The position is full time temporary taking place between May 18, 2026 to September 30, 2026. Responsibilities & Duties
  • Implement and optimize the daily schedule and monthly calendar.
  • Assist GHWIC Program Manager with day-to-day operational needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office and kitchen environment.
  • Welcome community members to the Poeh Community Space and explain the programing that is offered. Schedule community members for programming.
  • Assist SME in logistical issues related to working in the Poeh Community Space.
  • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction through excellent customer service.
  • Facility and building oversight.
  • Coordinate with vendors for office supplies, building maintenance, and repairs.
  • Coordinate with tribal departments for smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Help develop other programming related to chronic disease prevention.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in education or human services professions. Preferably, experience in the culinary arts, visual arts, behavioral health, nutrition, or outdoor recreation.
  • Required experience in grants management preferred.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be punctual, reliable and have excellent work ethics.
  • Must be enthusiastic, organized, team-oriented and customer service focused.
  • Must be able to professionally relate and communicate effectively and efficiently with the public, vendors, and professional providers.
  • Must follow all instructions, written and oral.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers and superiors.
  • Must be computer literate with excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend or kneel for long periods of time. Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing and visual acuity Frequent lifting (up to 15 lbs) Occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs)
