This position is based out of our Lima Girl Scout Center located at 1870 W. Robb Avenue, LimaOH 45805
Assigned Regional Service Area:
Greater Lima including Allen, VanWert, Hardin, Mercer, Auglaize, Shelby, Logan We're looking for an enthusiastic and mission-driven Community Outreach Coordinator to grow Girl Scout membership through outreach programming and event management. This role is responsible for developing and executing dynamic, data-informed plans that engage girls in flexible pathways in and outside the school day. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with schools, community partners, and volunteers to drive girl programming that reach current and prospective members through the outreach pathways, events, or through council-wide initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about expanding access to Girl Scouting and will have strong relationship management skills, be comfortable communicating the Girl Scout program in small and large groups and use data driven insights to create and execute a year-round and robust outreach and/or program plans. This role is located within our central/Lima region and assigned to support schools and service units in the following counties: Allen, VanWert, Hardin, Mercer, Auglaize, Shelby, Logan This role is a great fit if you: Enjoy being out in the community , supporting volunteers and building local relationships, not sitting behind a desk Are motivated by clear goals and measurable impact , especially around recruitment, member engagement, retention, and program quality. Essential Functions Drive membership growth through the delivery of Girl Scout programs in assigned Title One schools/service units by developing and implementing comprehensive plans for girls in series including Girl Scouting in the School Day and other school and community-based opportunities including recruitment, parent/caregiver engagement and conversion to sustainable Girl Scout experiences. Cultivate and collaborate with assigned schools, community organizations, and program partners to increase visibility and opportunities for girls, recruit volunteers, and increase program and funding partnerships to meet council objectives. Create and implement council-sponsored events for girls in grades K-12 based on council's strategic planning, organizational goals, and Girl Scout Outcomes. Administer evaluations and monitor results, adjusting the program delivery as needed. Oversee the creation and management of the budget for council-sponsored events and initiatives to meet council revenue targets and manage expenses. Provides support to Council strategic initiatives including service unit support, year-round recruitment campaigns, product program, progressive outdoor experiences and fund development efforts through regional teams, department, and project teamwork. In this role, you'll build highly transferable experience in public speaking and facilitation , community engagement , relationship management , event/project planning , and marketing/communications all while supporting volunteers who deliver life-changing experiences for girls. You'll strengthen your ability to influence, coach and support volunteers and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, people-centered environment. - Lead recruitment events, information sessions, and community conversations that inspire families to take action and join Girl Scouts. Goal‑driven recruitment & performance accountability
- Develop experience working toward individual and team membership goals , tracking progress, adjusting strategies, and delivering results against defined metrics. Campaign planning & execution
- Support recruitment campaigns from planning through execution—learning how to align outreach efforts with seasonal goals, community needs, and organizational priorities. Customer engagement & follow‑up strategy
- Strengthen your ability to guide families from interest to action through clear communication, follow‑up, and relationship‑based enrollment support. Collaboration & partnership skills
- Work in a regional recruiter-volunteer experience pair , learning how recruitment and retention strategies connect and how teams collaborate to achieve shared outcomes. Time management & field‑based organization
- Build strong prioritization and planning skills while balancing outreach, events, follow‑up, and administrative tasks in a fast‑paced, people‑focused role.
