Job Description

Community Educator Outreach
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
: Provide community outreach, education and prevention on relevant topics concerning intimate partner abuse/domestic violence to a variety of audiences across sectors of the community. Focus on delivery of outreach and community partnerships to advance our mission to end the cycle of abuse.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
60% Provide individual and group support using multiple methods and modalities. Facilitate prevention programming via public presentations on topics relevant to healthy relationships, dating violence, domestic violence, boundaries and other evidence based programming for a variety of audiences. Schedule and coordinate attendance at local events and community happenings. 20% Participate in meetings and events related to agency, programming, case reviews, and community-based partnerships. Complete/maintain ODVN Registered Advocate training, 15% Track and maintain regular statistical information in case notes in Osnium. 5% Other duties as assigned related to services for victims of domestic violence.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in related field with working knowledge of the cycle of abuse and program best practices referred.
Other:
Fluency in languages other than English and cultural knowledge are a plus. Must provide own transportation and/or have a valid driver's license as appropriate per job needs. Complete ODVN registered advocate training within first year of employment.
