Position Introduction:
The Southwest Prevention Center is seeking a motivated and community focused professional to support our Strategic Prevention Framework Rx Program . Under the direction of the Director of Community Based Prevention Services, this role plays a key part in advancing substance use prevention efforts across the region. In this position, you'll contribute to meaningful prevention initiatives by supporting project operations, assisting with data collection and reporting, and helping translate information into actionable insights. You'll also engage directly with the community—participating in campus and community meetings, health events, festivals, and outreach activities throughout Cleveland and McClain Counties . This role offers a dynamic blend of administrative support, data work, digital outreach, and face to face community engagement. Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree. 24 months of project management or related experience.
Equivalency/Substitution :
Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months of related experience.
Department Preferences:
Willing to work on evenings or weekends. Volunteer or paid experience in drug and alcohol prevention, public health, health field or social services. Ability and skills to contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment with both members of the project and the department. Experience working with community coalitions. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to obtain the Certified Prevention Specialist credential within 18 months of hire. Hiring Contingent Upon a
