Job Summary:
Rogue Food Unites in Ashland, Oregon is hiring a Bilingual Outreach Manager to plan, coordinate and manage outreach efforts.
Job duties are:
Recruit, train and manage workers in Outreach Department. Determine organizational policies regarding participant eligibility, program requirements, compliance with state and federal laws, and program benefits and prepare reports. Advise clients, conduct needs evaluations and referrals. Represent the organization at public events and in Community Based Organization meetings. Prepare public relations materials in both English and Spanish. Interpret and translate materials and information from English into Spanish. Serve as a designated emergency responder during disasters and provide basic medical assistance when needed. The minimum requirements for the position are: Must have a Bachelor's degree in communications, innovation and leadership, business or a related field. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Approximately 10% of time may be spent in traveling, to all 36 counties in the State of Oregon.
Language skill requirement or preference:
The Bilingual Outreach Manager must prepare public relations materials in both English and Spanish and interpret and translate materials and information from English into Spanish.
