Job Description

General Characteristics:
An Outreach Applications Coordinator handles all aspects of the Texting, Robocall, and Telephone Town Hall outreach application programs. Works with Members, staff, and other departments. Expected to work with limited supervision.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage Outreach Applications, including Telephone Town hall, Auto Call, and Texting programs. In conjunction with the Communications department or district staff, schedules Texts, Autocalls, and Telephone Town Halls. Execute Telephone Town Halls, Autocalls, and Text messages. Run detailed reports for member information from outreach applications. Coordinates and schedules Screeners for Telephone Town Hall events. Perform other related duties as assigned by Department Director or Caucus Leadership in support of House Members. Regular and punctual attendance at work.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A working knowledge of the legislative process, an understanding of the rules for the House of Representatives, and knowledge of House Republican Caucus policies. Must be able to work independently, manage own schedule, as well as manage the schedule of the various applications with little to no supervision. Ability to effectively communicate with Members, staff, and other Caucus departments. Ability to organize and implement outreach applications programs. Must be willing to work, at the height of the outreach application season, a maximum of 2-3 evenings per week as required. (Comp time eligible - 1:1 ratio.) Must be able to utilize a computer with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other basic office equipment. Ability to handle confidential information including correspondence.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum three years of experience working for the General Assembly. High school diploma is required with a college degree preferred in a related subject area (e.g., government, political science, education or history). Legislative or government experience may be substituted for a college degree. Strong grasp of the Microsoft Suite of applications. Intermediate understanding of technology and ability troubleshoot possible hangups in technical processes.
Pay:
From $50,000.00 per year
