Lincoln Land Community College is seeking a student-focused Agriculture Access & Engagement Coordinator to advance recruitment, engagement, and retention efforts within its agriculture programs. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and current students, parents, and high school partners—including counselors and educators—to promote agriculture pathways and career opportunities. The Coordinator plays a key role in guiding students from initial interest through enrollment and persistence by supporting admissions, advising, outreach, and marketing initiatives. As a staff member at LLCC , you can look forward to 23 paid holidays a year, including 2 weeks at the end of the calendar year and one week in March for mid-semester break; 12 Fridays off in the summer; and 2 personal days, 15 sick days, and starting with 15 vacation days per year. LLCC staff, their spouse and qualified dependent children are eligible to use the tuition waiver on credited courses. Staff can also enjoy free access to our on-campus fitness center. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related field Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check. Box 19256 Springfield, IL 62794 Job Duties Description of Job Duty Student Engagement & Retention Acts as the primary contact for prospective students, high school teachers, and guidance counselors interested in LLCC Agriculture programming. Represents Agriculture programming at recruitment events, including career fairs, college fairs, STEM fairs, high school visits, and other events. Coordinates Agriculture information events at LLCC. Conducts tours of the Kreher Agriculture Center and prepares and maintains scripts for other staff or students giving tours. Gains and maintains knowledge of agriculture careers and how LLCC programming leads students into those careers. Represents LLCC's Agriculture Program at conferences and conventions such as the State FFA Convention, Farm Progress Show, and National FFA Convention. Manages student inquiries and communication using CRM tools. Manages the selection process, training, and scheduling of the Ag Ambassador Team, coordinating their involvement in recruitment and outreach efforts. Aligns promotional efforts with the institutional and program enrollment strategies. Collaborates with the Program Director and Dean to establish a learning community for agriculture students. Plans and coordinates program outings such as social events, trips to university agriculture programs, the annual Ag Industry Tour, and other relevant activities. Coordinates PAS events on campus. Assists with the preparation and planning of and attends Ag Club meetings. Supports Ag Club/PAS members in leadership development and industry networking opportunities. Essential Duty? Yes Description of Job Duty Marketing Works closely with the college's marketing team to: Shape the development and implementation of compelling marketing campaigns, targeting key demographics throughout the district. Ensure accurate program information is shared through various channels, including social media. Identify promotional materials needed, shape their development, and distribute promotional materials for recruitment and retention efforts. Build relationships with high school personnel to enhance awareness of LLCC's agriculture programming. Essential Duty? Yes Description of Job Duty Admissions & Advising Assists students with the application and enrollment process. Guides students on course selection, career pathways, financial aid resources, and transfer opportunities, referring students to other college resources, where appropriate. Creates and implements a communication plan for notifying current students of advising and registration updates, college dates and deadlines, program activities and events, and other relevant programming needs.
