PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Alumni Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of alumni programming and peer recovery support services for Red Rock Recovery Center in collaboration with the Director of Business Development. This position will oversee and facilitate alumni programming, assist in outcomes collection, participate and organize interagency and internal alumni community events and provide peer recovery support services to alumni. As an Alumni Coordinator, you serve as the primary contact for our patients leaving treatment for substance use disorders. As an Alumni Coordinator, you will remove barriers to their recovery success by providing resources for Alumni, and helping them to navigate life post treatment. You will facilitate an Alumni group to educate current clients about the Alumni program and what to expect being a RRRC Alumni. You will be part of a supportive, team-based approach that models collaboration, solution-based problem solving, and authentic communication. Your ability to develop strong relationships, and communicate professionally with many different departments will be highly valued. Maintaining a positive attitude, staying organized and working efficiently will have an enduring positive impact in the lives of our Alumni who are learning to live their lives in recovery. This role must be flexible and able to work nights and weekends as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Develop and Implement Alumni Programing Collaborate with various department heads to coordinate alumni engagement with current patients Weekly peer group facilitation, including in person and virtual meetings Telephonic outreach, support and engagement with current and past alumni Outcomes collection, survey creation and follow up calls Maintain Alumni Database Incorporate services for family members of alumni Assist in coordinating alumni related admissions Connect discharging clients who are returning home with alumni and recovery support services in their area Volunteer Organization and Management (i.e. mentor program, service events) Assist in the training and education of alumni and family members interested in becoming ambassadors for RRRC Digital marketing including but not limited to, social media administration (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn,etc.), design monthly newsletters, print advertisement, content creation for platforms such as blogs, vlogs, pictures and videos. Develop and maintain relationships with treatment centers across the country to promote RRRC's services and secure sources of client referrals through TPAS in collaboration with Business Development Team Daily/Weekly data entry in company CRM/EMR of group notes and Alumni outreach Strong commitment to individual measurements and metrics Monthly visits to PHP/IOP groups to speak to Alumni Programming Work on referral development and internal customer service initiatives Adhere to confidentiality laws including 42CFR Part 2, HIPAA and HITECH as well as all RRRC policies and procedures including Code of Ethics
OTHER DUTIES
Cross train with admissions to assist with admissions calls when necessary Community outreach & local event participation Attending conferences when asked Relationship management with community partners that offer valuable resources to our Alumni Sober living tours Due to the nature of this position other duties may be assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no direct supervisory responsibility outside of organizing and leading volunteer events. SKILLS and
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this successfully, an individual should have adequate education, experience, and knowledge regarding the nature and treatment of Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health. Knowledge of community resources, recovery principles, and recovery coaching or addiction counseling interventions. Self-motivation Skills Conflict Resolution Skills Peer Recovery Support Skills Data-driven with a strong emphasis on analytics and measurable metrics Basic Group facilitation skills ​​Fluent in spoken and written English Management and Leadership Skills Participation & Engagement Skills Event management and organizational skills If recovering from chemical dependency, a minimum of 6 months continuous sobriety Ability to maintain professional demeanor with individuals and other treatment professionals Basic computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel and using a CRM EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree preferred A minimum of 1 year of experience working in SUD Treatment preferred Recovery Coach Certification or CAT preferred Experience with 12-step recovery and other Recovery Pathways preferred Experience in event planning and/or marketing preferred Knowledge of or experience in mental health or substance use disorder treatment Lived-Experience with recovery from as substance use disorder or mental health disorder preferred Must have valid Colorado driver's license
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to handle paperwork; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Open work area; noise level is usually moderate. hybrid working for home, out in the community, and from the office. Non-traditional working hours are common in this position (nights, weekend)

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
This employee must be of the conviction that substance use disorders are treatable illnesses and constitute a public health problem. This employee must sign an oath of permanent confidentiality covering all client-related information. As with all other Red Rock Center employees, the employee in this position shall have no history or evidence of alcoholism or other drug misuse for a period of six (6) months immediately prior to the date of employment, and no misuse of alcohol or other drugs while employed with Red Rock Recovery Center. The staff member shall sign and date this job description to affirm the validity of the information herein.
