Job Description
On-Time Medical Group is seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) & Community Outreach Coordinator to support our growing Behavioral Health, Substance Use Disorder (SUD), and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs. This hybrid role combines community outreach, patient engagement, peer recovery support, recovery coaching, and care coordination. The ideal candidate will help connect individuals to treatment services, improve appointment attendance, support recovery efforts, and build relationships with referral sources throughout the community. This position is ideal for someone passionate about behavioral health, addiction recovery, mental health advocacy, and helping individuals successfully engage in treatment. ResponsibilitiesCommunity Outreach Build relationships with recovery homes, sober living programs, shelters, hospitals, community organizations, faith-based organizations, and referral sources. Attend health fairs, recovery events, and community outreach activities. Educate community partners about available behavioral health, SUD, MAT, and recovery support services. Assist with referral development and community engagement efforts. Promote awareness of behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment services. Peer Recovery Support Provide peer recovery coaching and support services. Assist individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Support clients enrolled in MAT, counseling, psychotherapy, and psychiatric services. Conduct appointment reminder calls and follow-up contacts. Re-engage clients who miss appointments or are at risk of disengaging from treatment. Assist clients with identifying and overcoming barriers to care. Connect clients with community resources including housing, employment, transportation, and social services. Facilitate recovery-focused support groups and activities. Care Coordination Collaborate with therapists, counselors, nurse practitioners, physicians, psychiatrists, and other treatment team members. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR). Participate in staff meetings and training activities. Required Qualifications Active Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) certification OR currently pursuing certification. High School Diploma or GED. Lived experience in recovery from substance use disorder and/or mental health challenges. Reliable transportation. Ability to travel throughout Baltimore and Surrounding Counties for outreach activities. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Basic computer and EHR documentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Qualifications Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, peer recovery, community outreach, case management, or social services. Knowledge of community resources within Baltimore County and surrounding communities. Experience supporting clients receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Experience facilitating groups and recovery-focused activities. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
