Part-time, Contract Job Purpose NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness is a grassroots, non-profit, self-help organization offering resources, education and understanding to anyone concerned about mental illnesses and the treatment of mental illness. NAMI's Mission Statement
Dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with mental illness and their families through support, education and advocacy Objectives of NAMI Tennessee Enhance the message of recovery in the state, while offering meaningful support to those who are affected significantly by mental illness Encourage , educating and supporting diverse families; cultivating new partners Direct involvement with Tennessee Legislature, administration and mental health stakeholders to influence public policy and improve quality of life for all who are affected by mental illness NAMI Williamson & Maury Counites is currently a Model B affiliate of NAMI national and NAMI Tennessee.
The Coordinator, Affiliate Support (Sub‑Contractor) will support NAMI Williamson & Maury Counties by following up on ongoing programs, strengthening community outreach, and enhancing affiliate communication. Duties and Responsibilities
Serve in support of the NAMI Williamson & Maury Counties members and community.
NAMI on Campus support for high school and college.
Support a NAMIWalks event.
Attend bi-monthly affiliate virtual calls scheduled through NAMI Tennessee Assist with coordination of NAMI program delivery, including
FSG
CRSG
IOOV
ETS
Recruitment and encouragement of volunteers.
Ensure monthly activity and impact reporting. Create a plan and conduct outreach with:
Local mental health & health providers and organizations.
Community groups and partners.
Chamber of Commerce and other education organizations.
Professionals and youth serving groups.
Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred (business, communications, nonprofit admin, or related); equivalent experience considered. 3+ years administrative/operations experience; nonprofit experience a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SharePoint/OneDrive and database tools. Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail; excellent customer service. Comfortable coordinating vendors, facilities, and IT support. Judgement and Decision Making Works independently within established policies and timelines; escalates issues appropriately; accountable for operational outcomes. Physical requirements Ability to sit or stand for long periods and ability to access information using a computer for up to four hours at a time. Screening requirements Will be subject to a background check, must complete and maintain annual Title VI training, and contingent on reference checks.
