This is a flexible, hybrid role for someone who is already connected locally, enjoys meeting people, follows through, and understands how trust is built over time. No martial arts experience is required, and you will never be asked to instruct.

The position:

This is not a traditional sales job. It is not a desk job. It is a relationship building role focused mostly outside the academy. Your job is to help every Hamilton parent know that Matakas Jiu Jitsu is a trusted place for confidence, discipline, self defense, and positive development. You will not be starting from scratch. Both owners were born and raised in Hamilton, still live locally, and have meaningful community connections that this role can build on. We will provide training and clear guidance on how to talk about the academy, what opportunities we are looking for, and how to represent Matakas Jiu Jitsu professionally. The right person will help make Matakas Jiu Jitsu a familiar, trusted, and visible part of the local community. About Matakas Jiu Jitsu Matakas Jiu Jitsu was established in 2017 and expanded into Hamilton in November 2025. The new location is already generating strong demand, and we are looking for someone to help us build deeper roots in the community. Our academy works with kids, families, and adults through martial arts training, character development, confidence building, discipline, and physical skill development. What You Will Do Your job is to help Matakas Jiu Jitsu become more visible, trusted, and connected throughout Hamilton.

You will:

• Build relationships with schools, daycares, parent groups, sports teams, local businesses, and community organizations
• Identify local events, parades, fairs, fundraisers, and school opportunities where Matakas Jiu Jitsu should be present
• Help coordinate workshops, demonstrations, school visits, team events, and family focused community events
• Represent Matakas Jiu Jitsu professionally at selected public events
• Follow up with community partners and keep relationships active
• Track outreach conversations, next steps, and opportunities
• Keep academy leadership informed on progress, needs, and upcoming opportunities You do not need to attend every in-academy event you help create.

The main responsibility is to build the relationship, coordinate the opportunity, and make sure the connection happens. Schedule This is a flexible, hybrid role of roughly 20 hours per week. Much of the work can happen during daytime hours because many community relationships involve schools, parent groups, local businesses, and youth organizations. Some evening or weekend availability may be needed for important public events, including parades, town events, fairs, and school functions. We are willing to work around the right person's schedule. Compensation $25 to $28 per hour, plus performance based incentives. Hourly pay starts based on experience, with additional performance incentives tied to community partnerships, events, and qualified referrals. Paid time off and holidays are included.
