The Ring of Democracy is looking to hire an exceptional and dedicated Outreach Specialist who would be connecting an organization with the surrounding community. Their duties include working closely with the local community, attending outreach events and working closely with community partners to disseminate important information to our organization and the programs we assist with. This person would also be directly responsible for attending community canvassing activities, organizing and attending outreach events, managing relationships with stakeholders and more.WHAT YOU'LL DO
Activities include, but are not limited to: Main Duties Conduct outreach ( canvassing, phone banking, tabling, etc. ), utilizing materials provided by the organization Maintain confidentiality of records of applicants during navigator activities Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services and reflect the community and population served. Interact with members of the community Collect information from your interactions with anyone Manage and maintain relationships with stakeholders/partners Submit regular progress reports to the Project Coordinator about interactions and activities Reports directly to Project CoordinatorREQUIREMENTS
1-2 years of relevant organizing and/or outreach experience High level of verbal and written communications skills Data entry skills Excellent Verbal / Written Communication skills Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities and manage tasks effectively Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment for short term project A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills Bachelor's Degree (preferred) High school diploma/GED paired with 2-3 years of valid experience in outreach and in managing stakeholder relationships will also be consideredJob Type:
