Job Description

About us and the role: Spruce Psychiatric Associates is a growing outpatient psychiatry practice in Seattle that supports Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners by providing outstanding administrative, clinical, and operational support so they can focus on patient care. We currently support a fast-growing team of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and serve a large patient population across the greater Seattle area. We are seeking a warm, professional, and self-motivated person to help strengthen Spruce's relationships with therapists, primary care providers, schools, community organizations, and other referral partners. This is a part-time, flexible role focused on building new referral relationships, maintaining existing ones, and helping community partners better understand the services Spruce provides. This position is not office-based. The person in this role would primarily be out in the community meeting with referral partners, attending networking opportunities, visiting clinics or organizations, and helping foster strong professional relationships. Occasional office visits may be needed when meeting with referral partners at Spruce or participating in team meetings.
Main job responsibilities include:
Identify and connect with potential referral partners, including therapists, primary care clinics, pediatric practices, schools, community organizations, and other behavioral health professionals. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing referral partners through regular outreach, follow-up, and thoughtful communication. Represent Spruce in a warm, professional, and knowledgeable manner when meeting with community partners. Schedule and attend in-person or virtual meetings with referral sources to share information about Spruce's services, provider specialties, intake process, and referral pathways. Help organize and support relationship-building opportunities, such as provider lunches, office visits, community meetings, or networking events. Track outreach efforts, referral partner contacts, follow-up tasks, and relationship development activities. Communicate feedback from referral partners to the leadership and intake teams to help improve referral workflows and community awareness. Collaborate with internal team members to ensure referral partners receive timely, accurate, and helpful information. Assist with developing simple outreach materials, email templates, referral guides, and relationship-building strategies. We are looking for someone with the following attributes: Warm, personable, and comfortable building relationships with a wide range of professionals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-directed, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a flexible role. Professional, polished, and able to represent Spruce well in the community. Organized and able to track outreach, follow-up, and relationship details accurately. Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative. Strong interpersonal instincts and an ability to build trust over time. Comfortable learning about mental health services, referral processes, and provider specialties. Able to manage a flexible schedule while maintaining accountability and consistency. In addition to the above attributes, the ideal candidate would have the following, but they are not required: Prior experience in healthcare, behavioral health, marketing, community outreach, business development, or relationship management. Familiarity with outpatient mental health services or the broader Seattle healthcare community. Experience working with therapists, medical practices, schools, or community-based organizations. Comfort using basic technology tools to track contacts, outreach activity, and follow-up tasks. A bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus, but not required.
