Flexible; approximately 4 hours per week on average About Us The Episcopal Parish of St. Clement is a welcoming Christian community committed to sharing the love of Jesus Christ through worship, service, and outreach. We are seeking a creative, self-motivated communications professional to help tell our story, engage our community, and expand our digital presence. Position Summary We're looking for someone who can think creatively about connecting our parish with the wider community through social media, digital storytelling, and community outreach. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, brings fresh ideas to the table, and believes in the power of authentic communication. Workload will naturally ebb and flow throughout the church year, averaging approximately four hours per week. While most work can be completed remotely, occasional attendance at significant worship services, special events, and parish celebrations will be expected to capture content and help share these important moments. Responsibilities Develop and implement creative social media strategies across multiple platforms. Create engaging posts, graphics, photos, and short-form videos that reflect the life and mission of the parish. Tell the story of our ministries, worship, outreach, and community impact. Promote upcoming worship services, educational opportunities, concerts, and special events. Identify creative ways to engage both current parishioners and the broader community. Recommend new ideas and communication strategies that help broaden our reach. Coordinate with parish leadership to ensure timely and accurate messaging. Attend selected major worship services and parish events to gather content. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and similar platforms). Strong writing and communication skills. Experience creating engaging digital content. Self-starter who requires minimal supervision. Creative thinker with innovative, out-of-the-box ideas. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with parish leadership. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with churches, nonprofits, or community organizations. Understanding of the Episcopal Church or the Anglican tradition is helpful but not required .
