Community Outreach Assistant Mesquite Treatment Center - 1.9 Harlingen, TX Job Details Full-time $12 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Spanish Teamwork English High school diploma or GED Community service initiatives Full Job Description Position Summary The Community Outreach Assistant supports the Community Partnership Director with daily, weekly, and monthly outreach events and community engagement activities. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, friendly, professional, and passionate about helping the community. The assistant will help coordinate outreach activities, prepare materials for events, and ensure all community events and health fairs run smoothly. Locations may vary depending on the city where events are taking place, so reliable transportation is required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist with setup and coordination of community outreach events, health fairs, and presentations Ensure all event materials are prepared and available, including: Tables and tablecloths Flyers and promotional materials Sign-in sheets Giveaways/prizes Computer and office supplies Support the Community Partnership Director during outreach activities Maintain organization of outreach inventory and supplies Help coordinate schedules and logistics for events Interact professionally and respectfully with community members Assist with outreach documentation and event tracking Travel to different event locations throughout the community as needed Maintain a professional and approachable attitude at all times Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish
REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Reliable transportation required Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
Strong Presentation Skills:
5-minute presentation at Interview Work Environment Community-based and field outreach setting Frequent local travel for events and health fairs Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and teamwork Why Join Us?
