This role focuses on in-person engagement, education, and partnership development to expand access to high-quality, patient-centered vascular care—particularly in historically underserved communities. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a mission-driven organization that prioritizes service, equity, and excellence while delivering holistic vascular care where the need is greatest. Key Responsibilities Physician & Practice Relations Build and maintain strong, face-to-face relationships with referring physicians, advanced practice providers, office managers, and care teams. Serve as a consistent point of contact for referral partners to support communication, care coordination, and patient access. Conduct regular outreach visits to practices to provide updates on services, outcomes, access pathways, and referral processes. Identify opportunities to strengthen referral workflows and address barriers to timely vascular care. Community Outreach & Education Represent SAVE Clinic and Mission Surgery Center at community events, health fairs, and neighborhood initiatives. Provide education to community members on vascular disease, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), limb preservation, and available services for patients and families. Collaborate with community-based organizations, nonprofits, faith-based groups, and civic partners to support community-driven health initiatives. PAD Awareness Month & Signature Events Lead planning and execution of the annual Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) Awareness Month screening events each September. Coordinate PAD screening events across San Antonio City Council Districts 1-7 , partnering directly with City Council offices to identify locations and logistics. Manage timelines, vendors, staffing coordination, community promotion, and post-event follow-up. Track participation metrics and outcomes to support program evaluation and reporting. Student Mentorship & Workforce Pipeline Support Support student mentorship, shadowing, and volunteer opportunities aligned with SAVE Clinic's mission. Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and scheduling for students and trainees engaging with the clinic. Serve as a liaison between students, academic partners, and clinic leadership to ensure meaningful, mission-aligned experiences. Internal Collaboration & Strategy Work closely with physicians, clinic leadership, operations, and marketing teams to align outreach efforts with organizational priorities. Assist with development of outreach materials, presentations, and educational content. Maintain accurate documentation of outreach activities, partnerships, and engagement metrics. Identify new partnership opportunities that align with SAVE Clinic and Mission Surgery Center's service-focused mission. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; background in healthcare, public health, community engagement, marketing, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in physician relations, healthcare outreach, community engagement, or similar roles strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with comfort engaging physicians, community leaders, and diverse populations. Experience planning and executing community events or health screenings is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for meetings and events.
