Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Community Outreach Specialist to serve as a vital link between our organization and the communities we serve. In this role, you will develop and implement outreach programs that foster engagement, promote awareness, and build meaningful relationships with diverse populations. Your energy and leadership will drive initiatives that enhance community well-being, support public health efforts, and elevate our organization's presence locally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference while honing your skills in program development, social media management, public speaking, and community leadership. Duties Coordinate with local referral services Provide Street Outreach and Transportation to potential clients Coordinate with admissions team Represent the organization at public events, meetings, and forums through engaging presentations and public speaking engagements. Develop marketing strategies utilizing social media platforms, newsletters, flyers, and other channels to promote outreach activities. Collect data on community engagement efforts to evaluate program impact and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with local organizations, schools, health agencies, and other stakeholders to strengthen partnerships. Requirements Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently. Demonstrated success in program development and project management from conception through execution. Knowledge of marketing strategies with experience managing social media accounts for organizational promotion. Ability to collect and analyze data effectively to measure program outcomes and inform future planning. Familiarity with addiction counseling, public health initiatives, or social work practices is highly desirable. Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to recruiting volunteers and building community partnerships. Administrative skills including report writing, scheduling, budgeting, and record-keeping are essential. Experience in fundraising activities such as grant writing or sponsorship development is a plus.
