A. Mujeres in Action? MiA is a survivor-centered, Latine-led organization supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of violence. Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is more than an event coordinator. The ideal candidate is a community connector who believes meaningful change happens through relationships, trust, and collaboration. You may be a strong fit if you: Believe in survivor-centered and trauma-informed approaches Communicate well with people at all levels and are Bilingual in Spanish and English Build strong relationships with community members Stay organized and manage multiple priorities well Focus on solutions and problem-solving Keep accurate records and documentation Identify opportunities for partnerships and sponsorships Understand the Spokane community and its resources Care about serving immigrant, Latine/Spanish-speaking, and underserved communities What You'll Do The Community Partnership and Outreach Coordinator will help connect the community to MiA's mission, programs, and services. Through outreach, relationship-building, education, and partnership development, you'll ensure more individuals and families know where to find support and how to access available resources. You'll represent MiA throughout Spokane County. You'll build and maintain strong relationships with community members, partners, sponsors, volunteers, and service providers. You'll communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and at all levels of organizations, helping foster collaboration and trust. You'll coordinate outreach activities, educational opportunities, volunteer engagement, and community events. You'll keep projects organized, maintain accurate records and documentation, and ensure strong follow-through on commitments and partnerships. Community Engagement & Relationship Building Coordinate MiA's participation in community events Represent MiA at community events, meetings, and outreach activities Build relationships with community members, partners, and organizations Increase awareness of MiA's programs, services, and resources Recruit and engage volunteers and community supporters Participate in coalitions and collaborative initiatives that support survivors Connect immigrant, Latine/Spanish-speaking, and underserved communities to available support for survivors of DV/SA Education & Community Awareness Coordinate and facilitate presentations, workshops, and awareness campaigns Develop culturally responsive educational materials and outreach resources Share information about domestic violence, sexual assault and available services Support prevention and education efforts throughout the county Communications Assist with social media outreach and community engagement efforts Collaborate the team to promote events, services, and activities Help share MiA's story and impact with the broader community Event Coordination Plan and coordinate outreach events and community engagement activities Support annual awareness campaigns and fundraising events Maintain outreach materials, supplies, and event resources Assist with volunteer coordination for community events Data & Reporting Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and community contacts Track outcomes and prepare reports Support data collection to demonstrate program impact and community engagement.
Your Qualifications:
Required Bilingual Spanish/English Experience in Human Services, Social Work, Communications, or other related fields Experience in community outreach, advocacy, or nonprofit work Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work on your own and with a team Ability to facilitate presentations and engage diverse audiences Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Experience working with survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault Experience working with culturally diverse communities Experience working with immigrants or minority groups Knowledge of trauma-informed and survivor-centered practices Experience coordinating community partnerships and collaborative initiatives Core Competencies Relationship Building & Community Engagement Partnership Development & Collaboration Communication, Public Speaking & Facilitation Cultural Responsiveness Trauma-Informed & Survivor-Centered Practice Organization & Attention to Detail Volunteer Engagement Documentation, Record Keeping & Accountability Adaptability, Problem Solving & Teamwork Working Conditions Frequent community engagement and local travel. Occasional evening and weekend events. Ability to lift and transport outreach materials/event supplies up to 25lbs.
