Our children's ministry serves around 10 children ranging from infants through 6th grade, providing a nurturing environment where young hearts can discover God's love. Position Summary The Children's Ministry Director will lead and oversee all aspects of our children's ministry, creating engaging, age-appropriate programs that help children build a strong foundation of faith. This part-time position focuses primarily on Sunday programming while also coordinating our annual Kid's Bible Camp. Key Responsibilities Sunday Ministry (Primary Focus) Plan and lead Sunday children's programming for preschool through 6th grade Create a plan and schedule for a nursery program Develop age-appropriate curriculum and activities that teach biblical principles Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all children Coordinate and schedule volunteers for nursery, children's church, and Sunday school Ensure appropriate child safety protocols and background checks are maintained Communicate regularly with parents about curriculum, events, and their child's experience Manage classroom supplies, materials, and resources within budget Kid's Bible Camp (Annual Event) Plan and execute a one-week Kid's Bible Camp program Develop camp theme, curriculum, and daily schedule Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for camp week Handle registration, communication with families, and logistics Manage camp budget and materials procurement Ensure all safety and supervision requirements are met General Leadership Recruit, train, and support volunteer teachers and helpers Foster relationships with children and their families Collaborate with pastoral staff on church-wide events involving children Maintain attendance records and child information database Stay current with child safety best practices and legal requirements Participate in staff meetings and church leadership discussions as needed Qualifications Required Previous experience working with children (teaching, childcare, or ministry setting) Demonstrated passion for children's spiritual development Strong understanding of biblical principles and child-appropriate teaching methods Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to relate well with children, parents, and volunteers Current background check clearance (or willingness to obtain) CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Preferred Prior experience in children's ministry or Christian education Experience planning and executing children's camps or VBS programs Knowledge of age-appropriate child development stages Creative skills in crafts, music, games, or storytelling Proficiency with technology and social media for parent communication

Sunday mornings (approximately 3-4 hours including prep and programming) 2-4 hours per week for planning, volunteer coordination, and administration One intensive week for Kid's Bible Camp (additional hours during planning and execution) Occasional evenings/weekends for special events
