Technical Director Ministry Purpose:
Consistent with Romans 12:9-21 and Ephesians 4:11-16, assist the pastoral team in carrying out the ministry priorities of the Church.General Description:
The Technical Director is responsible for leading the technical production team in the Worship Arts Ministry and for addressing the IT and technical needs for the church and the school. This role requires a person who is spiritually mature and technically knowledgeable, with a commitment to wise Christian stewardship of resources of the church and school. Spiritual Responsibilities 1. Seek to be a role model in attitude, speech, and actions in a consistent daily walk with Jesus. 2. Exemplify the importance of Scripture memorization, Bible study, prayer, witnessing, and Christian fellowship. 3. Be prepared to explain the church's religious beliefs and practices to visitors and callers. 4. Be always ready to pray with those who contact the church in need. 5. Be prepared to provide religious resources and assistance to those who inquire. Primary Job Functions 1. Participate in the planning and execution of all Worship Arts Ministry events and goals giving guidance, expertise, and support to the Worship Pastor regarding all A/V/L elements to ensure a continual pursuit of excellence. 2. Direct all Audio/Video/Lighting support for the ministries, events, and programs for the church and the school. 3. Prepare slides and videos as requested for use in worship services, including both in person and online streaming services. 4. Recruit, train, and lead a team of volunteers to assist in supporting the technical needs for the church and the school. 5. Oversee the IT needs (computers, tablets, smartboards) for the church and the school in partnership with the Executive Pastor and the Head of School. 6. Develop and Maintain Technical Production and IT Budgets. 7. Participate in regular staff meetings and collaborate with the Senior Pastor and other church staff on church-wide initiatives and events. 8. Carry the mission of FBC to be a Multi-Cultural, Multi-Generational, and Multiplying church to the nations by actively pursuing discipleship/replication opportunities both personally and professionally. 9. Perform all other tasks, as assigned. Qualifications 1. Have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced by a life of integrity and servant leadership. 2. Faithfully attend and financially support the Church. 3. Bachelor's degree. 4. Experience with worship planning software, sound systems, and multimedia technology. 5. Experience with IT and technology for computers/laptops (Windows and Mac platforms) and for tablets (iOS). 6. Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to work collaboratively. 7. Creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement. 8. Agree to uphold the Church's statement of faith and submit to the standards outlined in the Staff Ten Commandments and the Staff Leadership Commitment.Reports to:
