Coordinate the development and implementation of the leadership formation program for National Pastoral Migratoria ® (NPM) in immigrant parish communities across the United States. NPM's mission is to foster systemic change and strengthen immigrant communities by sharing the model of Pastoral Migratoria ®, which is an immigrant leadership ministry of service, accompaniment, and justice. Ensure high-quality leadership development, training, and formation to lay parish leaders at diocesan sites. Support the development of NPM's network of dioceses and pastoral leaders committed to responding to immigrant needs. Responsibilities and other essential duties as assigned: Coordinate and administer the Pastoral Migratoria leadership formation program at diocesan sites. Support the Pastoral Migratoria implementation process, working in collaboration with the National Community Building Manager, a team of Formators, and the NPM Office•. Develop and implement initiatives for fellowship and continuous formation. Identify formation topics and coordinate the development of curriculum by a team of theologians, collaborating organizations, and Pastoral Migratoria leadership. Coordinate the development and updating of training manuals, guides, and course materials based on today's immigrant realities. Lead and foster the development of NPM's network of dioceses and pastoral leaders working together on national strategies to respond to the needs of the immigrant community. Co-lead the development and implementation of national collaborative initiatives such as the National Institute Pastoral Migratoria, Posada for Immigration Reform, National Migration Week, and others. Support NPM's community resource development efforts to provide current and relevant resources for immigrants through parishes. Assist in the preparation of program evaluation reports and impact analysis. The NPM Office is at the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Qualifications:

Education Required - Bachelors in theology, Social Sciences or related field. Preferred - Masters in social justice or theology.

Experience Required:

Proficiency in ministry, pastoral formation, and leadership development, including utilizing online platforms (e.g. Zoom, MS Teams). Familiarity and facility with mainstream social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. Understanding of Catholic social teaching and the Church's evangelization mission. Respect and support for Catholic Church teaching, mission, and values. Hiring preference may be given to candidates who are Catholic. 3-5 years: Experience in social ministry with a personal and/or professional history with immigrant communities. Knowledge of immigration issues. Fully bilingual (Spanish/English) with strong written and oral communication skills. Willing to travel up to 25% of the time across the U.S. This position is based in Chicago, IL.
