Job Description

The Church of the Holy Name is seeking a dynamic and faith-filled Director of Formation to lead and oversee all aspects of faith formation for children, youth, and adults. This individual will play a key role in fostering a vibrant Catholic culture of evangelization and discipleship. The Director of Formation reports directly to the pastor and is responsible for the visioning, development, and implementation of catechetical and formational initiatives aligned with the teachings and mission of the parish, Church and Archdiocese.
Key Responsibilities:
Live and witness to the Catholic faith through prayer, sacramental life, and service. Establish and oversee a cohesive vision for faith formation across all age groups. Design and present family formation programs for K-8 families. Design and present Confirmation programs for 9 th /10 th Design and present First Reconciliation and Eucharist Family Programs. Design and oversee Adult Small Groups for Advent and Lent and on-going evangelization including those related to the Synod Implementation process. Plan, manage and oversee Advent and Lent "GIFT" all-parish formation events and meals. Manage the OCIA process for adults, in collaboration with the pastor. Ensure compliance with all Safe Environment policies and diocesan guidelines. Recruit, train, and support volunteer small group leaders, etc. Select and evaluate curriculum and resources for all formation efforts. Coordinate registration, communication, and marketing for programs and events. Oversee budget, policies, procedures for all areas of Faith Formation. Follow all Archdiocesan Code of Conduct Requirements, policies, etc. Collaborate with other staff members as needed.
PREFERRED
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Theology, Education, Catholic Studies, or a related field.
