More than 30 Starting Salary Range $45,000-$65,000 DESCRIPTION The Advancement Administrator is responsible for the leadership, planning, implementation, outreach, and evaluation of a comprehensive advancement strategy for the Nativity Parish and School community. Cooperating with the Pastor and Leadership Staff, this individual is responsible for initiating and creating a comprehensive advancement program, cultivating and soliciting major gifts and developing relationships with major donors and creating a culture of stewardship. Development Responsibilities Collaborates with leadership, develops strategy, organization, execution, and assessment of fundraising efforts, including the establishment of goals and reports. Works closely with designated parish/school staff and volunteer leaders including the Parish Pastoral Council, School Advisory Council, Finance Council and other key advisory groups to determine appropriate fundraising needs and priorities. Attends Parish, School, and community events to establish and build relationships with key parishioners (e.g., families, parents, grandparents, alumni, community leaders). Identifies and secures grants to support operations and programs. Oversees the development of case statements, budget planning, proposals, promotional brochures, and written material. Be present one to two Sundays per month for post-Mass fellowship. Fundraising Responsibilities Provides leadership in the planning and implementation of successful fundraising efforts. Activities include but are not limited to providing motivation, accountability, and structure for engagement in ambitious, intentional major gift fundraising; engagement of volunteers in peer solicitations and activities designed to cultivate relationships; tracking of fundraising progress; providing leadership with strategies and next steps. Develops and manages a portfolio of major gifting prospects and ensures timely steps are taken toward solicitation, closure, and stewardship. Develop specific annual development goals in consultation with school and parish leadership. Additional Responsibilities Develops an annual plan of work, including specific fund raising, prospect development and programmatic goals. Collaborates with all staff responsible for stewardship, major gifts development, advancement services and related activities. Plans, creates, and manages the advancement budget, following the guidelines, policies and procedures. Completes and files timely reports. Maintains accurate and relevant records within the Hub/Salesforce database. Participates in special projects as assigned. Handles other duties and assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required. Fundraising experience is required Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills including a high level of attention to detail and followthrough. VIRTUS completed and up to date within the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.
