Job Description
Position Summary The Child & Family Ministry Director provides leadership, coordination, and administration for the faith formation of young children (Pre-K through Grade 5) and their families. This role is responsible for developing and supporting engaging faith formation programs, overseeing sacramental preparation for children in both the parish program and day school, and collaborating with the pastor in planning and preparing sacramental liturgies. This position plays a key role in nurturing the spiritual growth of children and strengthening family engagement in parish life. Key Responsibilities Lead, coordinate, and support faith formation programs for children Pre-K through Grade 5 Oversee sacramental preparation for children in both parish faith formation and school settings Collaborate with the pastor and parish staff on sacramental liturgies Develop and enhance programming that supports family-based faith formation Train, support, and supervise catechists and volunteers (as applicable) Ensure effective communication with families participating in programs Maintain organized program administration and records QualificationsEducation & Experience Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Education, Education, or related field required Catechesis of the Good Shepherd certification required Minimum of 2 years' experience in a parish or Catholic school setting (teacher, administrator, or catechist) required Experience in training, supervision, delegation, and volunteer development preferred Knowledge Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Active, practicing Catholic able to fully participate in the sacramental life of the Church Valid Wisconsin driver's license required Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and presentation skills Professional, collaborative, and team-oriented approach Abilities Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively Strong attention to detail and sound decision-making skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work collaboratively within a faith formation team
