About Us Young Scholars is a leading college admissions consulting and academic enrichment company, serving students across the U.S. and internationally. Our mission is to guide students toward top universities through personalized academic planning, extracurricular development, and strategic application support. Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced College Admissions Counselor to join our Cupertino team. This role involves working closely with middle and high school students to develop competitive academic and extracurricular profiles and guide them through the college application process. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 college counseling to students (grades 8-12) Develop personalized academic and extracurricular plans Guide students through college list development and application strategies Support essay brainstorming, editing, and finalization Conduct mock interviews and prepare students for admissions interviews Track student progress and maintain detailed counseling notes Communicate regularly with students and parents Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) Experience in college admissions counseling, education, or related field Strong knowledge of U.S. college admissions (UCs, private schools, etc.) Excellent writing and editing skills (especially for essays) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Preferred Qualifications Background as a former admissions officer, high school counselor, or consultant Experience working with international students Familiarity with UC application system and Common App Schedule & Compensation Flexible schedule (weekday afternoons/evenings + weekends) Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) Opportunities for long-term growth within the organization
