Musicians Institute is an exciting, contemporary school of music located in Hollywood California. We prepare our students for careers in the music industry as recording artists, performers, sound engineers, promoters and managers!
JOB DESCRIPTION
We have a career opportunity for a dynamic, experienced Admissions Advisor to recruit and interview potential students into a variety of music-related programs. The qualified candidate must have Admissions experience, making heavy outbound phone calls to prospective students. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment! Typical Duties Engage with prospective students through phone calls, virtual meetings, and campus visits to provide comprehensive information about programs and admission requirements Conduct engaging presentations and public speaking sessions to promote the institution's offerings and benefits Assist students with application procedures, including document collection, form completion, and eligibility assessments Collaborate with academic departments and administration using Ellucian (a widely used higher education software platform) to manage student records and track application progress Provide personalized academic advising to help students select appropriate programs aligned with their career aspirations Recruit prospective students by building relationships through outreach events, campus tours, and community engagement initiatives Maintain detailed records of interactions, applications, and follow-up activities to ensure a smooth admissions process Experience Qualifying applicants through telephone contact and (face-to-face) personal interviews to determine motivation, interest, effort and ability to qualify for various programs. Following up on leads and inquiries. Finding creative methods to locate new leads. Meeting and exceeding goals under stringent deadlines. Quote prices, terms, and conditions and only make representations concerning programs, quality, capacity and other educational particulars as set forth by the school. Participating in admissions related recruiting events such as: student orientation, open house events, admissions workshops and outreach events. Demonstrating knowledge of the programs offered by Musicians Institute and required to recruit for the following types of prospective students: Domestic students, international students, correspondence students, high school students, VA students, and under classmen students. Assisting prospects with the application process. Guiding applicants through the start of school and serve as an advocate for prospective students Ensuring that students complete required admissions documents and following up with applicants through the enrollment completion process.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong experience making outbound sales phone call to prospective students Ability to display enthusiasm and interact with people in a positive manner. Excellent verbal and written communication. Highly collaborative, curious, creative and team focused. Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as a capacity for learning new computer skills/programs Level of Education and Experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent background. Proven experience in Admissions or related field, within a university or college setting
Pay:
$52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
