Job Title KSOE Admissions Counselor Job Summary The KSOE Admissions Counselor supports the recruitment and enrollment of prospective students for the Kalmanovitz School of Education at Saint Mary's College of California. Serving as an ambassador for KSOE programs, the Admissions Counselor engages prospective students through outreach, recruitment events, and individualized guidance on admissions requirements and the application process. Working closely with the Director of Admissions & Marketing, this role helps implement recruitment strategies that support enrollment goals. The Admissions Counselor manages prospective student activity in the SLATE admissions system and collaborates with program directors, faculty, and campus partners to ensure prospective students receive clear information and strong support from initial inquiry through enrollment. Essential Responsibilities Represent KSOE and Saint Mary's College at recruitment events, both in-person and virtual, serving as a passionate ambassador for our programs. Proactively engage prospective students, offering clear guidance on admissions requirements and helping them envision their path at KSOE. Leverage the admissions system (SLATE) to manage leads, track activity, and ensure strong follow-up. Partner with the Director of Admissions & Marketing to support the execution of recruitment strategies. Assist in the coordination and implementation of outreach campaigns that build relationships with prospective students, applicants, and partner institutions. Support enrollment efforts by executing assigned recruitment and engagement activities of the College through a results-driven approach to recruitment and engagement. Collaborate closely with program directors and faculty in your program areas, and with campus partners to ensure prospective students receive quality support from first point of contact to deposit. Perform work within established guidelines, procedures, and supervision, escalating complex or non-routine issues as appropriate. Other duties as assigned.Experience and Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree required.Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of recruiting or admissions experience in higher education, preferably in a graduate education program.Skills/Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to inspire individuals and groups. Experience with admissions or CRM systems (SLATE experience preferred). Proactive, self-motivated with a sales- and marketing-minded approach to recruitment and outreach. Flexibility to travel for recruitment events and occasionally work evenings or weekends for communicating with prospective students. Enthusiasm for the mission of Saint Mary's College and the transformative work of KSOE. Ability to follow established processes and procedures while managing multiple tasks with attention to detail and timeliness.Licenses & Certifications:
