Institution:
The Virginia University of Integrative Medicine is the only accredited institution in Virginia, focused solely on advancing the profession of Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine through education. In addition, we have campuses in Ridgefield, NJ, and Duluth, Georgia. VUIM is a private, not-for-profit post-secondary institution of higher learning. We offer enrollment in post-master certificates, master's, and doctoral degrees in the field of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine quarterly. In addition, we currently teach classes in three languages, English, Korean, and Chinese. VUIM has experienced growth over the last five years, partly due to the adoption of alternative and complementary modalities of health and healing by the general public, but also because of its unique position in the market. We are affordable and committed to providing a superior education at a cost that is sustainable and allows the institution to continue to grow both in size and available resources.
Job Summary:
The admissions officer at the Duluth GA campus for VUIM plays a vital role in the organization's success by recruiting qualified students for enrollment. This position requires numerous skills, including but not limited to strong confident character, persuasiveness, passion for working with people, resourcefulness, excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and resilience. The individual in this position will handle the day-to-day activity of the admissions office in Georgia, and be the main point of contact, meeting with prospective students by phone, teleconference, and in person. The position will require travel, sometimes overnight, as well as planned evenings and weekends. This position is a part of the larger Enrollment Management team. It thus will require a person who is willing to complete tasks outside of admissions regularly, including but not limited to support with registration and advising.
Responsibilities:
Recruit qualified candidates for the university's hybrid programs quarterly (4 new student starts per year) Conduct consultative interviews both in person and over the phone to learn about each perspective of students' interests, backgrounds, and reasons for choosing VUIM Qualify prospective students, evaluating each prospect's background for eligibility Track and report on prospective students in the pipeline and active applicants weekly, and as needed Update Populi, removing outdated information and updating with the most current Generate interest in our University, programs, clinic, and community Schedule and Attend off-campus recruiting events, representing the University professionally Lead open house events and online information sessions as needed Follow a systematic outreach strategy, making regular contact with each inquiry and applicant Hold primary responsibility for managing the pipeline of prospective students for current and future starts in Georgia Research and propose new recruiting events Assist the Dean of Enrollment Management and Director of Admissions in improving upon current strategies and methods for reaching, tracking, and engaging prospective students Document all outreach efforts within the , Client Relationship Management (CRM) software system as well as the Learning Management System (LMS), Partner with other divisions, Academic Advising, Registrar, and Financial Aid Officer regularly, providing a seamless process for prospective students to enroll Assure consistency of information published in all advertising, including program brochures and digital advertisements Provide and conduct campus tours Open and close the facility as needed Support other staff members and students on campus as needed Perform other duties and tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Customer service experience Experience and enthusiasm for conducting interviews in person and over the phone Higher education, Admissions experience (preferred) Bachelor's degree (preferred) Previous experience in a sales environment, with responsibility for goals and metrics CRM or database/data entry experience (preferred), Copper and Populi Conversational Korean or Chinese language skills (preferred) Characteristics and Skills desired: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent listening skills Strong attention to detail Persuasiveness Resiliency Positive attitude Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Quick learner Entrepreneurial mindset Complex problem solver Well-developed organization and time management skills

Salary and Benefits:
