Graduate Admission Counselor

General Description:

Working in partnership with the Director of Graduate Enrollment Operations and Analytics, the Graduate Admission Counselor is responsible for managing the enrollment process from application to admission decision release, for prospective students seeking admission into Illinois Tech's central graduate programs. This position will report directly to the Associate Director of Graduate Admission.

Full Time Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and at least two to three years relevant work experience required. Master's degree in higher education, business administration, or other related field preferred. Minimum of one to two years' experience in college admission that includes demonstrated experience in making admissions decisions for a college or university required.

Knowledge & Skills:

Computer skills required: word processing, spreadsheets, email, experience with CRM systems-Salesforce, Banner preferred. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse work environment and work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document decisions within a CRM.

The ability to react positively and effectively to change. Welcomes a fast-paced environment and is able to quickly learn and incorporate new information and learn recent technologies; ability to show initiative, organize workflow and handle frequent interruptions and still be attentive to detail, accurate and precise.
