Job Description

Overview The directive of the Office of Admissions is to ensure enrollment of well-rounded incoming students and residents. The department manages the recruitment, application, review, and acceptance process for over 4,000 DMD applications, 1,000 postgraduate applications, and over 1,000 International DMD applications each year. This includes selection of candidates for interviews, coordination for, and participation in approximately 50 interview days each year, in addition to recruitment and special events. What You'll Do The Admissions Counselor works with a professional Admissions team to fulfill the enrollment objectives set by the Dean for the school. They read and evaluate applications for admission, participate in the selection process, and serves on selection committee. The Admissions Counselor conducts group information sessions for prospective students, and represents the university at schools and college fairs during travel to assigned geographic recruitment territory. This individual assists the Assistant and/or Associate Director with the coordination of specific recruitment initiatives such as publications or social media strategy. Performs effective recruitment tasks that fulfill enrollment objectives as set by the dean and managed by the associate director. Acts as a liaison and represents area of responsibility within Tufts University during visits to schools, college fairs, alumni events and other recruitment events. Reads and evaluates applications and participates in the selection process. Conducts group information sessions for prospective students and their parents at both on and off campus events. Assists the Assistant/Associate Director with the coordination of specific recruitment initiatives.
What We're Looking For Basic Requirements:
Knowledge and experience typically acquired by: Bachelor's Degree. Up to 2 years of related experience as a student employee. Pay Range Minimum $49,500.00, Midpoint $62,000.00, Maximum $74,500.00 Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
