Job Description
The Admissions Director plays a key leadership role in managing the admissions and intake process to support occupancy growth and create a seamless, positive experience for prospective residents and their families. This position is responsible for developing and executing outreach and referral strategies, building strong relationships with healthcare partners and community organizations, and collaborating closely with internal teams to achieve census goals. The Admissions Director ensures all admissions processes are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with applicable regulations and organizational standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship builder with strong communication skills, experience in healthcare or senior living admissions, and a genuine commitment to delivering a resident-centered experience.
Responsibilities:
Complete daily rounds in designated hospitals Obtain new high acuity inquiries and assesses special patients to evaluate care needs prior to admission, and directs to the appropriate center Evaluate inquiries, makes the decision and communicates information to the case manager, admissions coordinator, and facilitates the patient's smooth transition into the center Obtain accurate information from physicians, patients, and referral sources regarding the expected discharge plan, and communicates this information to the interdisciplinary team Develop relationships with hospital social workers, physicians, hospital discharge planners and administrators, clergy, attorneys, civic/professional organizations, home health agencies, families, etc. to understand the need for program services and to communicate services offered which meet these needsRequirements:
Knowledge of area hospitals and other local healthcare organizations preferred but willing to train. Experience with physician and hospital staff relationship development Sales, marketing experience with regard to generating referral sources Has established relationships with local social workers and discharge planners Excellent presentation and relationship building skillsBenefits:
