Job Description

The Enrollment & Recruitment Counselor serves as a student-facing representative of Davidson-Davie Community College, responsible for recruiting prospective students, providing admissions and enrollment guidance, and supporting students throughout the enrollment process. This position promotes the College's academic and workforce programs, conducts outreach activities within Davidson and Davie counties, and assists students with navigating admissions requirements, program selection, and enrollment procedures. The role works collaboratively with campus departments to ensure a seamless and supportive student experience from initial inquiry through enrollment.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized admissions advising to online and walk-in students based on student goals, interests, career aspirations, and educational backgrounds. Assist students throughout the enrollment process, including completion of college applications, Residency Determination Service (RDS) requirements, New Student Orientation registration, program selection, and enrollment readiness activities. Supports alignment between admissions, recruitment/outreach and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless transition from applicant to enrolled student. Refer students to appropriate campus resources, including advising, financial aid, records, accessibility services, workforce development, and student support services. Collaborate with advising, financial aid, records, workforce development, and academic departments to ensure a seamless student experience. Assist with the administration of Programs with Special Criteria (PWSC) admissions processes by providing prospective students with guidance on program requirements, application procedures, ranking criteria, deadlines, and next steps; responding to student inquiries; supporting applicant communications; and assisting with applicant ranking and admissions-related processes in collaboration with academic departments. Represent Davidson-Davie Community College at high schools, community organizations, workforce development programs, college fairs, career fairs, and recruitment events throughout Davidson and Davie Counties. Travel regularly throughout Davidson and Davie Counties, as well as surrounding service areas, conducting recruitment activities, attending community events, visiting educational partners, and representing the College at outreach programs. Develop and maintain relationships with school counselors, career coaches, workforce partners, employers, adult education programs, and community stakeholders. Utilize phone, email, text messaging, social media, and CRM platforms to engage prospective students. Assist with planning and implementation of recruitment campaigns, enrollment events, open houses, and orientation activities. Have a valid CDL or be willing to obtain it as a condition of employment Valid North Carolina driver's license and ability to travel throughout Davidson and Davie Counties, including occasional evening and weekend events. Maintain sensitivity, understanding and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds. Supports the mission, vision, and values of the College and attends College events and meetings Performs other tasks as assigned which support the mission and initiatives of the College.
Your attributes:
Required Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution Two years of experience in enrollment management (admissions, recruitment, and/or onboarding)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in related field Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software or relevant experience utilizing CRM systems. Two or more years of work experience in student affairs or academic programs within a higher education or workforce development setting Fluent Spanish speaking and writing skills Experience with social media and web content Experience presenting information to individuals and groups in both in-person and virtual settings.
