Job Description

Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Admissions Officer for Undergraduate Admissions - NB. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Applicant Evaluation. Among the key duties of the position are the following: Handles coordination of the review and notification of undergraduate applications for admission and scholarships for Rutgers University—New Brunswick undergraduate applicants who apply through the New Brunswick Undergraduate Admissions office and are maintained in Salesforce. Discusses academic credentials, admissions parameters, and adherence to the University Senate Policy on Undergraduate Admissions; meets with admissions committees and resolves issues related to the above matters. Serves as the primary liaison for the Rutgers Business School-New Brunswick and as a liaison to the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. Ensures that faculty committee decisions comport with University Senate Policy on Undergraduate Admissions, and the policies and protocols of Undergraduate Admissions. Knows and maintains compliance with NCAA regulations regarding the admission and initial undergraduate enrollment of Division I recruited athletes. Participates in standard admissions counselor/officer duties, including student/family admissions counseling, presenting for information sessions, and fulfilling an assigned number of recruitment activities. Develops and completes special projects as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and at least two years comprehensive experience in college admissions/enrollment management that include admission determinations, working with faculties and academic administrators, academic advising, group-leading, delegating, and ensuring completion of work assignments.

Most functions are done online. Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office, and Perceptive Content on a daily basis to perform required tasks. Salesforce Marketing Cloud on occasion.
