Job Description

Outreach Coordinator Pegasus Treatment Center - Willingboro, NJ Position Overview Pegasus Treatment Center is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Outreach Coordinator to expand our referral network and increase community awareness of our substance and behavioral healthcare services. The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with referral sources, identifying new business opportunities, and serving as a liaison between Pegasus Treatment Center, patients, families, and community partners throughout the admissions process. This position plays a vital role in helping individuals access quality treatment by fostering strong partnerships with hospitals, healthcare providers, community organizations, employers, and other referral sources. Essential Responsibilities Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with referral partners, including hospitals, physicians, behavioral health providers, community organizations, employers, and other healthcare professionals. Execute a consistent outreach schedule that balances relationship management with new business development throughout the assigned territory. Represent Pegasus Treatment Center professionally at networking events, community meetings, health fairs, conferences, and educational presentations. Conduct informative presentations regarding Pegasus Treatment Center's services, levels of care, and treatment philosophy. Manage referral communications and maintain accurate documentation using CRM software and mobile technology. Collaborate closely with the Admissions, Clinical, and Operations teams to facilitate timely admissions and ensure a seamless patient experience. Maintain regular communication regarding prospective admissions, referral activity, and individuals in the admissions pipeline. Assist with discharge planning by identifying appropriate step-down services and maintaining relationships with continuing care providers. Develop a working knowledge of substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and levels of care. Respond promptly to referral inquiries, recognizing that communication may occasionally extend beyond standard business hours. Travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel when necessary. Meet established monthly performance goals and key performance indicators (KPIs). Build collaborative relationships across all departments to support organizational growth and exceptional patient care. Adhere to company policies regarding travel, expense reporting, confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and professional conduct. Maintain a professional appearance and represent Pegasus Treatment Center with integrity at all times. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, Behavioral Health, Social Work, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and at least three (3) years of experience in behavioral healthcare, substance use treatment, healthcare marketing, or business development will be considered. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Previous experience in healthcare outreach, physician relations, admissions, or business development preferred. Knowledge of substance use disorders, mental health treatment, and the continuum of care is strongly preferred. Familiarity with insurance benefits, managed care, and healthcare referral processes is a plus. Experience using CRM software (Salesforce or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional communication, presentation, networking, and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities with the capability to manage multiple priorities independently. Demonstrated professionalism, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Passion for helping individuals and families access life-changing behavioral healthcare services.
