Communication•Clearly and effectively exchange Gannon's information, ideas, facts, and perspectives with visiting students and their families. Professionalism•Understand and demonstrate effective work habits, and act in the interest of the Gannon community by being present and prepared, demonstrating dependability, and maintaining a positive personal brand. Student workers in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions act as liaisons between the university and prospective students, marketing the value of the Gannon experience. This interaction can take place in a variety of ways: campus tours and in-person conversations, social media photos and videos, text chats, phone calls, and video Q&A sessions. The student workers in Undergraduate Admissions proactively recruit Gannon's future students and are a critical piece to the success of the university. Holding one of these positions should be considered an honor and a responsibility. Amongst many career readiness skills, you will focus on communication and professionalism. While interacting with families you must clearly and effectively exchange Gannon's information, ideas, facts, and perspectives. By doing this in a professional manner you will understand and demonstrate effective work habits, and act in the interest of the Gannon community by being present and prepared, demonstrating dependability, and maintaining a positive personal brand. Undergraduate Admissions student workers are expected to be knowledgeable, professional, and sincere with each interaction that they have with prospective students and their families.Required Qualifications Employment Expectations:
Commitment to Gannon University Willingness to represent the University in a positive manner Excellent communication skills with strong English Language proficiency Strong work ethic and desire to set and achieve goals Satisfactory academic progress; Minimum grade point average of 3.0 Positive disciplinary standing Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere Assist with special Admissions related events Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands Lifting may be required as part of event setup and/or tear down. Ability to walk the entire campus without stopping.
