Position Summary The Enrollment Counselor / Territory Manager is responsible for recruiting, enrolling, and yielding a diverse and talented class of students to Pennsylvania College of Art & Design. This role blends relationship-driven recruitment with data-informed strategy—managing a defined geographic territory while contributing to national pipeline development across PCA&D's undergraduate programs, including Animation & Game Art, Creative Writing, Design Thinking, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Live Experience Design & Production (LiveX), and Photography & Video. Success in this role will be defined by the ability to: Build and sustain inquiry and applicant pipelines within assigned territories Translate student interest into applications, admits, and deposits Deliver high-impact, personalized recruitment experiences (in-person and virtual) Utilize CRM data to inform strategy and improve conversion outcomes As a core member of the Enrollment team, the counselor collaborates closely with Marketing, Financial Aid, Academic Departments, and external partners to support institutional enrollment goals. Key Responsibilities Territory Management & Student Recruitment Manage a defined geographic territory (regional and/or national) Develop and execute an annual recruitment plan (travel, school visits, events, communications) Build relationships with: High school counselors and educators Community-based organizations Transfer institutions and community colleges Identify and grow "right-fit" student pipelines aligned with PCA&D programs Travel, Events & Representation Represent PCA&D at: High school visits and college fairs National portfolio days and recruitment events On-campus programs (Open Houses, Accepted Student Days, portfolio reviews) Plan and execute territory-based and virtual recruitment events Deliver engaging presentations that reflect PCA&D's brand and programs Student Engagement & Yield Strategy Guide prospective students and families through the admissions process from inquiry to deposit Conduct admissions interviews and portfolio reviews (as applicable) Execute targeted yield strategies, including: Personalized outreach (email, phone, SMS) Event follow-up and conversion campaigns Collaboration with Financial Aid on affordability conversations Support admitted student engagement and reduce summer melt CRM, Data & Reporting Utilize Slate to: Manage territory activity and communication plans Track student engagement and funnel progression Maintain accurate and timely data entry Monitor performance metrics including: Inquiry generation Application completion Admit-to-deposit conversion Contribute to reporting on territory performance and ROI Marketing & Communications Collaboration Partner with Marketing to: Execute territory-specific campaigns Provide feedback on messaging and student insights Support content development (student stories, program highlights, social media) Ensure consistent, on-brand communication aligned with PCA&D voice and strategy Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with: Academic departments and faculty Financial Aid team Student Life and Residence Life Support program-specific recruitment efforts, including: Portfolio-required majors Interview-based programs such as Live Experience Design & Production Access, Equity & Compliance Promote access and opportunity for: First-generation students BIPOC students Pell-eligible populations Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulations (FERPA, etc.) Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree 1-3 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, or outreach Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Ability to manage travel and work evenings/weekends as needed Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Experience in art and design education or creative industries Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Slate Territory management or regional recruitment experience Experience working with portfolio-based admissions processes Strong organizational and data analysis skills Key Performance Indicators (First 12 Months) Inquiry growth within assigned territory Application completion rates Admit-to-deposit conversion performance Event participation and follow-up engagement Territory expansion and school relationship development
