Job Description

The key principle of an admissions counselor is to support the mission of Lipscomb University, which is to integrate Christian faith and practice with academic excellence.
Typical Duties:
Promote and maintain a positive image of Lipscomb through the professional performance of your job. Responsible for recruiting freshman students from assigned regions and achieving enrollment goals in academic quality and diversity as well as building positive relationships with friends of Lipscomb. Assist and/or coordinate special events on and off campus, including weekends when necessary, and as assigned by the Assistant VP for Enrollment. Responsible for meeting recruitment goals as determined by the leadership team of undergraduate admission. Responsible for completing office duties including but not limited to: admissions/financial aid visits with prospective families, campus tours when needed, receiving inbound calls, and other duties. Responsible for providing support to Campus Visits and Enrollment Records when necessary. Support may include but is not limited to: admissions/financial aid visits with prospective families, campus tours when needed, receiving inbound calls, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions. Applicants must manage an assigned travel territory with the direction of the leadership team.
Territory management will include:
building relationships between the college and prospective students, conducting high school visits, attending college fairs, hosting events & information sessions, meeting with counselors and key leaders, meeting with alumni, and making connections. Applicants will also have additional responsibilities within the Office of Admission. This will include data management, budget management, scholarship programming, etc.
