Job Description
The Enrollment Counselor has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, providing information, coaching, and assistance to prospective students, families and secondary counselors on the academic, financial, curricular, and co-curricular offerings of Lamar State College Port Arthur. This is a full-time position that reports to LSCPA's Enrollment Services Department. Represents LSCPA at carious outreach programs through presentation, information tables, college fairs, and other community events Provides personal enrollment coaching for applicants regarding outstanding documents, admissions and registration requirements, financial aid, orientation, testing, etc. Makes monthly email, text, and phone contact with assigned prospects Visits high schools to recruit, guide, and monitor prospective students Maintains close working relationships with high school counselors and community organization representatives Recommend, design, and create new outreach and recruitment programming and marking concepts, as well as follow-up strategies for prospective students Develop an understanding of the Banner Student Information Systems and Argos report to document, track, and identify students' admissions and enrollment status Work as a member of the Enrollment Services Team to meet established recruitment goals and increase enrollment at LSCPA, particularly first time freshman and transfers Comply with campus policies and procedures Other related duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university One (1) year experience providing college counseling, recruiting, or student services related area in higher education (related student work and/or internship experience will be considered) Valid driver's licensePreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or universityWork Hours:
