Until Filled PAT (Parents as Teachers) Educator (Administration) - The Parents as Teachers (PAT) Educator will support family well-being and optimal child development. Parent Educators work in partnership with families in their home to meet their unique needs through strengths-based assessment and goal setting. Parent Educators work with pregnant mothers, and parents who have children birth-5 to understand child growth and development and to support parents in their role as their child's first and lifelong teacher. Emphasis is placed on the home being the child's primary learning environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Degree Earned in Countries outside the United States and obtain Parents as Teachers model certification within 3 months of hire. Two Years' Previous Supervised Work Experience with Young Children and/or Parents Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or Related Degree Preferred Experience Working with People of Diverse Cultures and Socio-Economic Backgrounds Experience with Windows Computer Applications for Word Processing and Data Entry Knowledge of Early Childhood Development with Respect to Children from Birth through age 5 Knowledge and Experience in Principles of Child Health, Safety, and Nutrition as well as Adult Learning and Family Dynamics Knowledge of Family Issues and Resources Available to Families Flexible Schedule to Include some Evenings and Weekends to Coordinate with the Families Availability and Facilitate Both Parents' Involvement in the Home Visit

Annual Physical/Health History CPR and First Aid Certification Food Handlers Certification Proof of current Driver's License and auto insurance Clear any Current CCS Insurance Policy Requirements to be an Insured Driver Fingerprinting/Background Check renewal as required Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Capable of working in noisy and/or crowded environments Stand and/or sit for extended periods of time interchangeably Capable of getting up and down from the floor with ease; including the ability to stoop, bend, lift and reach.

Salary:
$20.88 - $34.51 per hour DOE and education.
Plus benefits:
