Company Overview Christian Services for Children in Alabama, Inc. is a dedicated nonprofit faith-based organization committed to supporting families at risk due to abuse and neglect. We partner with the Alabama Department of Human Resources to provide vital services that promote safety, stability, and well-being for vulnerable children and their families. Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and proactive TFC/CAP Family Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with families involved in child welfare cases, providing critical support, crisis intervention, and family stabilization services. Your efforts will help ensure the safety and well-being of children while empowering families to overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes. Responsibilities Collaborate with child protective services and other community agencies to develop tailored family service plans Conduct thorough assessments of family needs, strengths, and risks related to child welfare and behavioral health Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support during urgent situations involving children and families Facilitate conflict management strategies to promote healthy communication and resolution within families Offer guidance on child development, childcare practices, and family law as needed Document case progress, service delivery activities, and relevant observations accurately and in a timely manner Advocate for children's safety by monitoring compliance with court orders and service plans Participate in on-call rotations 1x monthly Skills Strong knowledge of child protective services protocols and child welfare practices Experience working with children in various settings, demonstrating patience and understanding Skilled in crisis intervention techniques and managing high-stress situations effectively Proficient in conflict management to de-escalate tense interactions between family members or stakeholders Background in social work, behavioral health, or related fields with a focus on family dynamics Familiarity with legal procedures impacting child welfare cases Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations Join us in making a meaningful difference by supporting families through compassionate care, expert guidance, and dedicated advocacy. Pay:
From $45,000.00 per year
