North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is seeking a compassionate Social Worker to join our Hospice team in a flexible part-time role supporting both our inpatient Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas, and hospice field services across North Arkansas. This position plays a vital role in helping patients and families navigate emotional, social, financial, and end-of-life care needs while working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary hospice team focused on dignity, quality of life, and compassionate care. Job Summary The Hospice Social Worker provides psychosocial assessment, counseling, caregiver support, care coordination, and community resource connection for hospice patients and families. This role works closely with nursing, providers, chaplains, and the interdisciplinary hospice team to support patient dignity, comfort, and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Complete psychosocial assessments and contribute to individualized hospice care plans. Support patients and families with advance directives, goals-of-care discussions, and end-of-life planning. Provide emotional support, counseling, crisis intervention, caregiver support, and grief-related support. Assist families with community resources, financial assistance, and placement needs as appropriate. Actively participate in the interdisciplinary group (IDG) and hospice care conferences. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with hospice regulatory standards and organizational expectations. Support bereavement services and family follow-up activities as needed. Identify and communicate patient or family concerns, safety issues, and psychosocial barriers impacting care. Qualifications Required Arkansas licensure as an LSW, LMSW, or LCSW. Strong communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Previous hospice, palliative care, healthcare, or behavioral health social work experience. Experience with electronic medical records such as Meditech or MatrixCare.
