SUMMARY:
Provides support to students, parents and school staff on academic achievement with a focus on improving student attendance and behavior
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Confers with parents/guardians and other community resources regarding educational or social well-being of students as well as other challenges students may face Meets with school personnel, students, parents, guardians, community officials, while at all times maintaining a confidential, private, professional attitude Maintains appropriate records of student's family contacts Submits weekly reports of all activities regarding meetings and communications to administrator Documents all work activities on a daily basis on required time and effort log Responsible for inventory of supplies and materials that is needed for their position Seeks necessary resources that meets student's needs and communicates to parents Assists with coordination of special events Assists with the recruitment of parent volunteers Serves as an interpreter for bilingual students or parents as needed Prepares and distributes flyers and announcements for school and community related events
